A Moment with Matt

Today’s Message:

“When the World Wants Something… God Just Wants You”

Today’s reflection invites us to rest in the simple, steady truth that God loves us—deeply, personally, and without hesitation. Drawing from Psalm 116, we are reminded that God hears every plea we whisper, every cry we can’t quite put into words, and every prayer we offer in faith. This is a God who bends close, who listens with compassion, and who responds with love.

In just a few minutes, we’re reminded that we are never unseen, never unheard, and never left to carry our burdens alone. God knows us, God hears us, and God loves us. Always.

Today’s Message:

“Guided by Others, Sent by God”

In today’s reflection, Pastor invites us into the story of Acts 2, where the disciples suddenly find themselves stepping into a new role—guiding others toward Christ with courage they didn’t know they had. He reminds us that God places mentors, teachers, and trusted voices in our lives for a reason. These are the people who help shape our faith, steady our steps, and point us back to God’s love when we need it most.

But the message doesn’t stop there. Just as the disciples were once learners who became leaders, we too are called to be open—open to listening, open to learning, and open to being shaped by the wisdom God sends through others. And in God’s perfect timing, we will also be the ones someone else needs. Someone who needs encouragement. Someone who needs hope. Someone who needs to hear that Christ sees them, loves them, and walks with them.

It’s a gentle reminder that faith is both a gift we receive and a gift we share. God works through the people who guide us, and God will work through us as we guide others.

Today’s Message: “He Walks Beside Us”

Pastor invites us to walk the road to Emmaus—the quiet, dusty path where two disciples carried heavy hearts, believing Jesus was gone. Yet, as they walked, He was right beside them, listening, teaching, and reminding them that hope was not lost.

We, too, have our own roads to Emmaus—days when grief, confusion, or weariness make it hard to see God’s presence. But this story reminds us that Jesus walks with us every step, even when we don’t recognize Him. His love meets us in our sorrow, His truth opens our eyes, and His grace turns our despair into renewed faith.

It’s a gentle reminder that we are never alone on the journey. Christ is beside us—guiding, comforting, and revealing Himself in ways we may not expect, but always when we need Him most.
