Outreach

The Outreach Committee offers many opportunities throughout the year for church members and the community to come together in fellowship. Some of our activities include sponsoring Bingo at the Veterans Home, hosting neighborhood gatherings, and partnering with Bellevue Together to support Back-to-School initiatives and holiday programs. We are always looking for volunteers and new ways to connect and engage with our community.

Serving Opportunities

Bellevue Food Pantry

At St. James, we believe that caring for our neighbors is one of the most tangible ways we live out our faith. Our partnership with the local food pantry allows us to help meet the basic needs of individuals and families right here in our community. Through donations of non‑perishable food, household items, and financial gifts, we help ensure that no one has to face hunger alone.

Every contribution—large or small—makes a meaningful difference. The shelves of the pantry are stocked because of the generosity of people who want to share hope, dignity, and compassion with those experiencing hardship. By giving, we join a wider network of support that strengthens families, uplifts spirits, and reminds our community that they are not forgotten.

This ministry is a simple but powerful way to serve. Together, we extend Christ’s love beyond our walls and into the hands and homes of our neighbors.

Airman’s Attic

At St. James, we believe in caring for those who sacrifice so much for us. Our church partners with the young service members stationed at Offutt Air Force Base by providing donations of food, essential items, and financial support. Many of these airmen are far from home, living on tight budgets, and navigating the challenges of military life. Our generosity helps meet real, everyday needs—reminding them that they are seen, valued, and supported by their community.

This ministry is our chance to serve those who fight for us. Through simple acts of kindness, we offer encouragement, stability, and a tangible expression of God’s love. Whether it’s a bag of groceries, a gift card, or a monetary donation, every contribution makes a meaningful difference in the lives of these young men and women.

Together, we stand with our service members. Together, we lift them up. And together, we show them that their St. James family is grateful for their service and committed to walking alongside them.
